The climate emergency and the accelerated degradation that the planet is experiencing are a reality, so we are constantly working to minimize the impact of our activity throughout its life cycle.
In 2022 we joined the Efficient Energy Cluster of Catalonia, the leading business group in the energy sector in Catalonia. The purpose of the Cluster is to promote the competitiveness of associate members and enhance collaboration between companies to offer innovative solutions in efficient energy.
This partnership reinforces our goal of responding to the demand for the optimization of energy consumption and preserving our environment.
The preservation and respect for the environment is one of our basic pillars of action, which is manifested in compliance with the best environmental practices in all our activity.
Sustainable construction
The agri-food and industrial engineering and construction sector is immersed in a process of changes that have led to major transformations to implement more sustainable methods.
In Cunovesa Group we bet and already have experience in applying sustainable solutions according to standards defined in Sustainable Construction Certifications, such as Breeam or Leed. These are certifications of recognized international prestige, which develop sustainable construction methodologies that cover the entire life cycle of buildings, from design, construction, operation and end of life of the same.
LEED Certification
LEED Certification is a globally recognized symbol of our desire to achieve sustainability, and is applied not only to create green buildings, but also for the positive economic impact it has for developers and owners. LEED Certification helps save on energy costs and represents a revaluation for the property.
BREEAM Certification
BREEAM® is the method of evaluation and certification of sustainability in building. The certificate, of a private and voluntary nature, grants a final score that serves as a reference, for a more sustainable construction both in the design phase and in the execution and maintenance phases, having different evaluation and certification schemes depending on the typology and use of the building.
Sustainable construction is already a reality
In 2022, we started the works of a new industrial warehouse for Balfegó in L’Ametlla de Mar. The facilities consist of a production plant and offices totaling more than 11,000 m2.
This project complies with the standards of the BREEAM certification and opts for the Exceptional Breeam Final Certification once the work is finished, the highest distinction of the aforementioned certification, being one of the few food industry buildings in Spain so classified.
